3 New features for Instagram Advertising
Good news! The Facebook-owned top mobile destination Instagram is enrolling different advertising features. We will describe 3 new features on Instagram.
1. Carrousel Ad
The carrousel ad on Instagram looks exactly like the carrousel ad on Facebook. The concept is simple, you can tell your story through multiple ads. This feature provides advertisers with more flexibility in telling their stories by allowing people to swipe left on an ad to see the additional images. People who swipe on your ad are taking action, which expose their engagement level. They are collecting small pieces of the bigger picture you want present.
Besides the insights in their engagement level you can start collecting leads and gain customers. The implemented call-2-action buttons for example; Learn More or Buy Now, will guide interested people to your website or allows them to buy your product directly.
2. Landscape Photo and Video
Did you ever posted a rectangle photo on Instagram? I did. And it instantly became the ugliest photo on my timeline. Instagram forced photo’s into a square by filling up the empty strokes on both sides of the picture.
This new landscape photo and video option is breaking this square philosophy for a more cinetic feeling, and that’s why I love this second feature on Instagram Advertising. Check out the video below to see the awesome difference.
3. 30 seconds Video Advertising
If you’ve ever uploaded a video on Instagram you know how easy it is to override the maximum duration of 15 seconds. Instagram has extended the advertising video length to 30 seconds, which is close to the duration of commercials on television. These double length video’s are only available for advertisers. This features allows advertisers to stretch the engagement level of people with richer storytelling.
